The mission of the physician assistant program is consistent with the enduring Christian Humanistic traditions of DeSales University and seeks to graduate physician assistants who dedicate themselves to the total well-being of the patient. Graduates of the program will deliver competent and compassionate health care including preventative services and wellness education to patients of diverse populations in a variety of settings. They will consider the patient holistically in the context of family, community, and society, and incorporate ethical principles into a patient-focused practice. They will serve their patients by using evidence-based medicine and promoting life-long learning in the profession.

Carolinas Healthcare System Charlotte, NC 12 months 28 per cohort, variable Center for Advanced Practice Fellowship The Advanced Clinical Practitioner fellowship at Carolinas HealthCare System provides exposure to an array of complex disease processes and patient populations in acute, primary and urgent care settings. With a focus on developed competence and confidence, this transition-to-practice program prepares the advanced clinical practitioner (ACP) to deliver superior patient care while in a protected learning environment. The one year, post-graduate fellowship programs are appropriate for new nurse practitioners (NP) and physician assistant (PA) graduates, as well as advanced clinical practitioners wishing to change disciplines or career paths. The PA program at LMU-DCOM offers graduate level professional education for students who desire to become Physician Assistants. We are very proud to be part of the growing interest in Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant (PA) Residency Programs in the country and would like to share with you some of our program’s distinguished attributes. Our vibrant urban setting, affords us the opportunity to care for a diverse and challenging patient population presenting with various medical needs. Because Einstein houses a Level I Trauma Center, our residents frequently treat trauma patients with multiple and severe injuries while working closely with other disciplines including surgery and orthopedics.
