University of New Mexico School of Medicine Albuquerque, NM 18 months 2 Students Physician Assistant Residency in Emergency Medicine The University of New Mexico School of Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant Residency is an 18-month program that strives to equip physician assistants with the clinical experiences and didactic teaching that will enable them to practice high-quality, evidence based emergency medicine. Our graduates will have comfort and competence in the care of critically ill patients, the broad scope of emergent presentations, and the skills necessary to be leaders in their profession. The Physician Assistant program at USF’s Albuquerque Campus is a full-time, 27-month program. The program consists of 15 months of didactic classroom basic medical sciences, behavioral and social sciences, clinical preparatory sciences and professional practice issues. This is followed by 12 continuous months of supervised clinical learning experiences. Students must complete the entire 27-month program at the University of St. Francis. Arrowhead Regional Medical Center Colton, CA 14 months 15 Students Thank you for visiting the Emergency Medicine Residency at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center website. Arrowhead Regional Medical Center is centrally located in Colton, CA and is within an hours drive to both mountains and coastline. ARMC’s Emergency Department is the second busiest in California with an annual volume of 110,000. As a large volume emergency department, our AOA-approved Emergency Medicine residency provides vigorous and broad training where residents become proficient at EM procedures and manage multiple critical patients simultaneously. My goal as Program Director is to train extremely qualified and well-rounded emergency physicians, all of whom I would have treat my own family without reservation. University of Missouri Columbia, MO 15 months 2 students Postgraduate Fellowship Program » View Physician Assistant Feature Brochure Since January 2011, the University of Missouri Health System in Columbia, Mo., has been offering an intense and rewarding postgraduate fellowship for physician assistants in acute care medicine. The physician assistant fellowship program is a collaboration among University Hospital, the MU School of Medicine and its departments of emergency medicine, internal medicine and surgery, and the MU School of Health Professions. University Hospital is a 300-bed hospital in central Missouri. It serves as central Missouri’s only Level I trauma center and as a tertiary referral center for much of mid-Missouri. The hospital is located on the MU campus, along with its academic partners, the School of Medicine, the Sinclair School of Nursing and the School of Health Professions. As part of an academic medical center, University Hospital is host to many physician residency and fellowship programs.
