The PA program at LMU-DCOM offers graduate level professional education for students who desire to become Physician Assistants. The program provides the academic and clinical training needed to practice as a competent, reliable extender of the physician. The program is a full-time, 27-month curriculum that provides students the opportunity to earn a Master of Medical Science degree and certificate of completion to meet the eligibility requirements for the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE). The PA program only provides classes at the Harrogate campus.

Brown Alpert Medical School Emergency Medicine PA Residency

Brown Alpert Medical School Providence, RI 12 months Emergency Medicine Physician Extender Development Program Emergency Medicine Physician Extender Development Program, or EMPED, is a 12-month post graduate training program involving University Emergency Medicine Foundation (UEMF) faculty and senior physician extenders to support a comprehensive emergency medicine training program. The program utilizes three hospitals as sites for orientation, training, and clinical rotations for newly graduated or non-emergency medicine trained physician extenders. All three sites are affiliated with Alpert Medical School and Lifespan, and are teaching facilities. Fiona Craft, NP is the EMPED program coordinator. Diana Afonso, PA-C and Cailyne Ghazarian, PA-C are the program lead educators. Dr. James Monti is the Advanced Practice Provider Medical Director. Program Content During the development year, EMPEDs receive the following training: Five hours of didactic conferences each week with emergency medicine residents. Hands-on training in various emergency departments, working with appointed faculty. Procedure workshops and lectures provided by senior physicians and appointed faculty. St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Ypsilanti, MI 12 months 1 Student Physician Assistant Residency Programs at Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital-Ann Arbor (SJMH-AA) Two postgraduate residency programs are available for PAs interested in Cardiothoracic Surgery. The two tracks include: Cardiothoracic Surgery (CTPA) & Cardiothoracic Critical Care (CTCC). These residencies are offered by SJMH-AA in conjunction with IHA Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgeons. The program provides the graduate physician assistant with an opportunity to obtain advanced training in cardiothoracic surgery and critical care. Each residency program is a 12-month didactic and clinical training program for licensed, board-certified PAs who wish to specialize in the management of cardiothoracic surgery patients.
