The mission of the University of New Haven Physician Associate Program is to prepare master’s level physician associates to be highly skilled members of interprofessional healthcare teams. The program is committed to developing clinicians who will provide compassionate and patient-centered healthcare across the lifespan to people of all ethnicities, cultures, or identifiers that may be interpreted as different from the majority. The program places special emphasis on providing a strong primary care foundational knowledge that will train our students to be life-long learners and prepare them to enter a broad range of medical practice settings.

The program trains highly qualified graduate physician assistants (PAs) to become skilled, compassionate and efficient hospital-based PAs. The curriculum contains diverse didactic instruction and direct patient care clinical experience, embedded in the foundation of Mayo Clinic: excellence in patient care, education and research. Texas Children’s Hospital Pediatric Surgery Houston, TX 12 months 6 Students Surgery Physician Assistant Fellowship Providing advanced pediatric surgical training to physician assistants The Pediatric Surgery Fellowship for Physician Assistants is the first of its kind in the country to offer a 12-month didactic and clinical pediatric training program to physician assistants. Our fellowship ensures a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a full spectrum of pediatric surgical subspecialties, and to become a leader in all areas of pediatric surgery. Surgical subspecialties include: congenital heart surgery, general pediatric surgery, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, orthopaedic surgery, otolaryngology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, trauma, urology, and an innovative new addition, surgical hospitalist. Touro University-Manhattan Physician Assistant Program

The mission of the Touro College Physician Assistant Programs is to educate capable students to meet the challenges of providing health care services under the supervision of a licensed physician. The programs also strive to excel in the education and training of physician assistants who will serve the health care needs of the community with competence, compassion, and dedication. The program curriculum is designed to educate its graduates to function as traditionally-trained primary care providers who are able to provide care to patients in any number of specialties in hospital-based and private office settings, and to prepare graduates with the requisite medical knowledge to pass the national certifying examination. The curriculum is also formulated to sensitize the student to diverse patient populations and the impact of socioeconomic factors on health care and its availability. The Manhattan Campus PA Program offers non-traditional scheduling of classes. This has enabled the program to broaden access to PA education to persons who prefer a non-traditional schedule format because of family commitments or the need to work part-time to finance their education.
